Terms & Conditions
The lead booker for each booking will ensure that all participants understand that canoeing can be a hazardous activity and is undertaken at their own risk.
The lead booker is responsible for ensuring that all participants comply with the following conditions;
- Buoyancy aids must be worn at all times on the river
- All participants can swim competently
- Children under the age of 4 are not permitted
- Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian with the following ratios:
- Ages 4 to 11 – one adult per child
- Ages 12 to 15 – two children per adult
- Ages 16 to 17 – four children per adult
- All medical conditions must be declared
- Solo canoeists are not permitted
- No fishing allowed unless with appropriate permit or license
- No alcohol or illegal drugs to be consumed prior to or during your trip on the river
- Respect all other river users and the environment. Take all litter home
- We reserve the right to turn individual participants or whole groups away for any reason
Booking Policy
Paying for your trip:
- A 50% deposit is required to make a booking
- The balance is due 3 days before the start date of your trip
Booking changes:
- If you wish to cancel or change a confirmed booking you must let us know by email as soon as possible and, in any event, prior to the day of your booking
- Cancellations made by the customer up to 7 days before the start of the trip can be rescheduled for a later date or refunded
- Cancellations made by the customer within 7 days of the start of the trip will incur a loss of the deposit
- Cancellations made by the customer within 24 hours of the start of the trip will incur the full hire costs
- The River Wye can rise very quickly and unexpectedly, especially overnight and we reserve the right to cancel your trip at a moment’s notice
- If we cancel your trip due to adverse river levels, extreme weather conditions or events outside our control, we will contact you as soon as possible and attempt to re-schedule the booking or offer a refund
Whilst we operate under COVID-19 restrictions we have amended our terms and conditions to enable customers to change, postpone or cancel bookings up to 24hrs prior to the trip with no penalties
Group bookings:
- Group bookings of 5 canoes or more may only be made by telephoning us and cannot be made online
- Bookings for large single sex groups (e.g. stag or hen parties) are not encouraged
Data Protection
- We may communicate with you from time to time about your booking and your experience with us and will use your data in accordance with our privacy policy (please see below)
